Gershom’s educational journey in Tanzania & USA helped him to curate his knowledge in the proper way. His education gives him the inspiration to face everyday challenges with innovation and technology. He is motivated to change the life of the people in need and he is determined to improve the condition for better.

With over 20 years of hands-on microfinance, banking and telecom business experience in the emerging markets leading geographically dispersed, multi-cultural team of professionals to convert business needs & customer insights into a life-changing brand experience. Prior to founding Impact Microfinance, he worked as chief commercial officer for FINCA.

He spent 13 years in banking & microfinance industry initiating and leading change, driving results and innovating amid a rapidly evolving digital landscape. He launched agency& mobile banking, digital field automation, credit scoring. He possesses a high degree of commercial acumen and is particularly skilled at re-engineering business processes and practices to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase profits.

Issa Ingwegwe is a seasoned professional as his experience is a blend of local, regional and international financial market exposure. His hands-on involvement in the financial services industry is mounted on the experience of over 20 years in the financial sector. He began his career as credit officer and elevated himself to senior management and the leader of a bank. He has in-depth experience in microfinance business with strong skills in business development, strategic planning, policy design, credit risk management, product development and expertise in human resource management.

He has played key role in expanding financial inclusion by enabling access through technology and turning the face of microfinance institution in Tanzania by making FINCA, which is Tanzania the first regulated microfinance bank. He has implemented digital transformation in Mobile banking, Agency banking, Mobile Financial Services, Credit Scoring and Data Analytics, Digital Field Automation.

Maclean Michael Kamala is seasoned banker with over 29 years with Central Bank of Tanzania, he was part of the team who established the Department of Microfinance banks under the Directorate of Banking Supervision and his last position was Assistant Manager, Microfinance Banks. Previously Kamala worked as a Senior Bank Examiner. He holds a Diploma in Financial Management and Advanced Diploma in Banking.
